Ok - another thread suggesting formatting with windows was problematic! I have done it there and could force fat32 though. Trying again tonight.

formatted with windows which let me choose fat32
powered off machine and inserted few nights later, still no valid machine data :/

yes that works ok, can remove and reinsert to PC and open that file ok

On the off chance that you have a flaky card, do you have another one to try? Are there any warnings on the AS11? Just for the heck of it, leaving the AS11 powered up, try turning on the Write-Protect on the SD card and put it in the AS11. It should let you know about it.

no don't have another on hand to try
when I put it in with the power on, it just says loading may take up to two minutes just flipped wrote protect and put it in, it went to warning read only pretty quick guess I'll order up another
