RE: Outrageous DME prices
EOB ....Explanation of benefits.
This is a final statement from Medicare showing billed amounts compared to what they actually paid, and what I would be required to pay.
For those that don't have insurance, the price you pay is dependent upon the honesty and integrety of the DME.
My DME knew my insurance would not cover a second machine, and that I would be paying out of pocket.
If I wasn't able to get the new PR System One APAP for the sale price, then I probably would have bought used or open box from Supplier #2.
Bottom line....Insurance and Billing practices can make you crazy.
