Please help with treatment review

RE: Please help with treatment review
Last night I was very careful how I put the Dr D pad on...I have a double chin. If I'm not careful when I put it on, I can mouth breath. I think that's what happened the other night. I appreciate you pointing it out.

Last night was a rough night. I woke up a number of times. About the 3rd time up I didn't have my mask on; I have no memory of taking it off. My mind was going fast all night; even in my dreams. Instead of solving problems in my sleep, I found a whole lot of new ones! I was still working out those problems in my mind when I woke up!

So I slept in too late, and had to rush. I'll download my card when I get home and see how long my machine was off...

I haven't done that in many years. Forgiving myself for slipping up, the world is good.

Turned my machine off and removed my mask!

I had no memory of doing this.

it happens. I doubt there are many of us that haven't been surprised on occasion to wake up without the mask. who knows why? or why we suddenly get a spike in leaks or ahi. usually things calm down but of course we should watch to see if whatever is happening is a trend. thank goodness for sleepyhead and oscar eh?

Yes.
When I found this forum and started using Sleepyhead, I finally became my own advocate for my health. It was the first step to wellness. OSCAR is much better.

Before that I would always react. First thought would be, "I've felt lousy for months. I wonder what's gone wrong?" After months of waiting for an appointment, my sleep doc would check my machine to see how many hours I'd used it. Then he would up my pressure by 2....so I'd have to see my DME to get the pressure increased.

Last night I dug out my cpap pillow I haven't used in a long while. Wedge shaped.
I put on my face pad with strap I made up. Didn't use my Dr D pad. Didn't use my fat fluffy down pillow. No was 0.6

pretty good. I'll download my card to OSCAR when I can, and see how I really did.

This is how I slept using my home made pad. It's very comfortable. However, I think I mouth breath sometimes. I woke up feeling like an elephant had been living in my mouth.... Sad

I understand the appeal of 0.0, but this is perfection. I think adding a note to your posts of how your feel is perhaps more relevant than the AHI at this point.
Well done!.

Feel. thats a different matter.

Reality is I'm not sleeping well, and tired during the day. Sleep quality sucks.
Yes my machine is on sometimes for about 8 hours.

If I sit in front of the tv during the evening, I fall asleep.

Last night for instance, my Machine was on for 7 hours and 10 minutes. I was up twice for washroom breaks. The second time was 4:00 am; I returned to bed quickly and put the mask on immediately. I got to sleep some time after 6:00 a.m., woke up shortly after on my alarm at 6:30 am.  I had my mask on as soon as I went to bed, and wore it while I lay awake.

My Garmin watch reports the 7 hours and 10 minutes of total sleep. It reports 3 hours 19 minutes of deep sleep; it reports 3 hours 51 minutes of light sleep.  The "movement" graph shows I moved all night. It shows I was awake about 8 times through the night. It actually felt worse than that.

Recent changes
* Dr Dakota wedge is back on
* Speep apnea pillow is being used again
* Work is stessful; it's always stressful.

I ensure that I go to bed in a timely manner. I need an alarm to wake up. I can't change work stress.
My goal has been to optimize my cpap therapy.
