I have been using CPAP for the last 5 years but recently switched from the Airfit F30 to the P10 nasal pillows as my F30 headgear was worn out and I figured to give the pillows another go.
I always liked the F30 but leaks are a bit of an issue with it so I'm hoping I will get used to the P10. But it's been a week now and I am exhausted and my AHI has shot up (3.76 last night, 5.80 the night before). With the Airfit AHI was usually around 1.
I am using a Resmed S9 Autoset, min 9.0, max 20. EPR 3.
I am planning to adjust to min 10 and switch EPR off from tonight but wanted to see what you guys think?
Screenshots attached from last night and night before.
It sounds like you're more comfortable with the F30 mask, but the P10 is a great minimalistic mask. I always put comfort first, so use what feels best.
With that said, you seem to be on the right track with a pressure increase. Try 10cm and see how it feels.
One question, have you always experienced clear airway events? I wouldn't turn EPR off entirely, but I would lower it to 2 or even 1. It may help lessen the CA's and at the sane time lower the Obstructives.
You may want to experiment using these settings with each mask. Be sure when changing the mask to also change the mask setting on the Cpap.
When you repost a graph, replace the mask pressure graph with the pressure graph.

As far as personal comfort goes I do actually prefer the pillows, it's just the effect it's having on AHI and tiredness. The F30 has been better in that respect but I found I was constantly having to adjust the straps to stop the leaks. I'm hoping the issue with the P10 will settle down eventually but if I have to switch back then it is what it is.
Last night was back up to 6.85 AHI. Obstructives down but CAs back up. I adjusted EPR to 1 and min pressure to 10 but I do feel more rested this morning.
I've always had CAs on my reports but never to this amount so not sure what to make of that. Hoping it will settle but maybe I'm being overly optimistic? I did notice a bit of dry mouth this morning too but that's the first time since changing to the pillows
If you had CA's on your sleep study, then you may have been placed on the wrong type machine. An ASV is designed to treat central sleep apnea. Talk to your doctor about this.
Also, work on the leaks. Read through the Mask Primer, especially this:

I was desperate at the time and figured it would be easier to just buy an autoset machine and see if it worked rather than wait for a sleep study (our health service is slow and private care is expensive...).
It made me feel so much better that I never bothered to continue with the drs and just carried on with the CPAP. So while there's always been a low level of CA on my OSCAR readings I can't say whether it was an issue prior to therapy. I assumed the low level was sleep-wake junk but these readings are much higher than that
Maybe it's time I spoke to a Dr.
Thanks for linking that about leaks btw I will check it out
