CPAP making my sleep apnea worse...?
Data
As you can see in my data, I got back to using CPAP in 9/7/21, and ever since that my numbers have been getting worse. I have started out at sub 4 AHI, averaging at 6 H of therapy and approx 8-9 hours of sleep. Now, three weeks later, I have reached 16 AHI, with 14 of those apneas being central apneas (I am diagnosed with OSA, and never had more than 1 central apnea per hour). I also sleep more hours, today being the first day I slept for 10 hours. I don't experience restful sleep, and it's hard to get out of bed.
Weight
Weird thing is that in these three weeks, I have actually been losing weight. 77kg in 13/7/21 down to 75.4 today (27/7/21). One of the reasons I got back to therapy was because my sleep depravation was preventing me from burning fat. In these two years, I have tried the same routine to lose fat (intermittent fasting and keto) multiple times. I only had success with the cpap.
I might also add that on 11/7/21 (just a few days into using the machine) I felt AMAZING. I got 6.5 hours of sleep (5.5 of them with the mask) and I felt exactly like I felt when I used the machine years ago. Ever since then however, my mornings have been getting worse.
