[Pressure] Lowering AHI
#11
RE: Lowering AHI
That’s good to know, thank you! My initial sleep study was at home and reported mild apnea with low O2. However, my CPAP titration recorded as many as 27 apneas in an hour before the pressure was properly titrated. So I’m actually unsure as to the severity of my untreated sleep apnea— I’ve heard that the at-home tests aren’t always accurate.

I did so, and at first it worked really well for me-- I actually had a night with an AHI of 0! But after a few nights, my AHI has risen again. What can I do to get it back down? Thanks in advance!

That looks much better oliviaissleepy Smile

You can turn off EPR completely to see how you feel for a night, you are having leak spikes but I too feel worse if my ahi moves above 2 (as I typically am under 1).

RE: Lowering AHI
My AHI has been a bit higher the last few nights. Last night I switched to a different pillow to help with neck pain and discourage stomach sleeping. And while I was more comfortable and it did help me stay off of my stomach, I woke up with a great deal of aerophagia. Is the aerophagia something that should stop happening with time? I've also been thinking about trying a soft cervical collar to further help with stabilizing my neck, and maybe that will help a bit with any obstructive apneas.

RE: Lowering AHI
I've been especially tired lately, often needing afternoon naps. My AHI has been a bit higher lately too. I find that I really only feel great if it's below 0.6 or so. Anything I can change here settings-wise? And is there any way to know where my leaks are coming from? I attached my data from the last three nights.

RE: Lowering AHI
The more pointy leak pattern typically will be a mask source. If you were to see wider upsidedown curved leak patterns that's more a mouth leak. By AHI numbers, this is consistently good. And a 95% leak rate of 6 in 2 of 3 charts is good as well.
