Problem with beard
I am using an Apple MacBook Pro OS-x 10.14.4 with Oscar 1.01r1. My mask is an FFM ResMed Mirage Quattro. I have a beard and I had a stroke a while back. I got my AHI almost to 0 but recently it has climbed and large leaks are around 20%. I would post a picture but using F12 makes a 1.9 m image which is too big for here. What can I do to lower my ll?

RE: Problem with beard
a lot of people would pay good money to have an ahi like yours so I wouldn't worry much about that. you do have clusters of hypopnea associated with leaks. I haven't gone back to reread your other posts: have you tried a soft cervical collar? have you tried a nasal pillow mask? the collar works well for me to reduce positional events and lip leaks with my nasal pillow mask. I don't know if a collar helps with ffm leaks. I too have a full beard and of all the masks they tried on me at titration, only the resmed airfit p10 nasal pillows sealed.

Thanks, Sheepless!
I can't use anything other than a FFM. I've tried just about all of them. Too many problems with congestion. I tried a cervical collar a year or so before but couldn't get it to work. Maybe I'll try another. The problem seems positional. And having a beard sure doesn't help!

RE: Problem with beard
You have an ASV with a beard and a FFM..pick 2 and guess which is the odd one out
mask fit http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...ask_Primer
For auto-cpap, from machine data or software. You can set the min pressure 1 or 2cm below 95%. Or clinicians commonly use the maximum or 95% pressure for fixed pressure CPAP, this can also be used for min pressure. https://aasm.org/resources/practiceparam...rating.pdf

RE: Problem with beard
That's a hard question to answer (what kind of congestion). Actually, all different kinds, Crowtor. I've never been able to nail it down. I have a deviated septum if that means anything.
My AHI is almost always low (<2) but my leakage is almost always around 20%, I don't feel that great in the morning. I think how I feel is probably related to the leakage. I think I'll try another cervical collar.
