[Product Review] Airfit P10 vs Swift FX

Airfit P10 vs Swift FX
I ordered a P10 after seeing all the positive reviews about it being so comfortable and quiet.  HOLY COW!  It is soooo quiet compared to my Swift FX.  Had to hold my hand up to check for airflow as it was super quiet.  Head straps were super comfortable.  I have found my new mask for sure!

Yup, add it to the list of devices over the years that have become your wife's new best friend. Happy Eyes

Yep. I kept my Swift FX as a backup for the P10 for a long time. I finally just tossed it. I really like the P10.

RE: Airfit P10 vs Swift FX
Well, Big Guy, this may or may not be helpful: mouth breathing generally occurs when one can't breathe through one's nose. When I started CPAP, I had a lot of trouble breathing through my nose with a regular mask. I felt congested, even when I was not. I tried decongestants and other things that did not help me much. My go-to remedy was a hell of a lot of hot sauce, before I went to bed, hoping it would clear my breathing! Generally it did not.

Then I went to nasal pillows. It changed everything for me. The pressure applied straight to my nostrils blew right through the congestion. I could breathe easily with the CPAP even on days when I was congested without the CPAP! And (it seems to me) I had way fewer colds or other nasal congestion, once I started the nasal pillows. It was a great improvement for me.

I mention this simply to suggest that if you try nasal pillows -- assuming you have not already done so -- you might find that you no longer need to breathe through your mouth. I certainly can't promise that would be true. But if you have not already done so, and if you can find an affordable way to do so, you might give it a try. Just because it worked well for me does not mean it would work well for you. But it might be worth a try.

In any event, I wish you the best!

RE: Airfit P10 vs Swift FX
For as long as I can recall, I've had issues breathing thru my nose. It's as if I can't get enough air.

I use an AirFit F30 FFM and it does help with nose breathing. But.....I've been a mouth-breather for os long, it's a very tough habit to break.

Any other time than being in bed, it's not so hard to nose breathe. I should see an ENT specialist I suppose about it.  Eat-popcorn
