Ramp is used for those that can't tolerate therapy pressure when they first turn on the machine. It gives them a chance to gradually increase pressure up to the minimum therapy pressure. If you don't need it, just turn ramp off. If you find your minimum therapy pressure intolerable when awake, leave it on. As you adapt to CPAP, ramp becomes less important or obsolete. Do what makes you most comfortable for now...eventually, you will probably turn off ramp.

RE: Rank Newbie
Night 3.
I felt a big difference between the min of 5, and 8 pressure from the get-go this time.  While still awake, I had to consciously resist the urge to exhale through my mouth. Not enough to make it an issue, but a definite awareness. The sleepyhead summary also reported "significant periods of mask leakage".
Despite all that, overall events are down, which is awesome. I also fell asleep a lot sooner than I had the night before. Hardly any restless legs, either. Yay!

I'm still not particularly chirpy of a morning, and haven't napped as I would prior to having the machine, although that might change today because I have a training session, and I usually zonk in the afternoon afterwards.  I train hard twice a week and have done for the last ten months, and rarely get through those days without a nap. We shall see.
Last night I did remember to turn off the fan in the room, and am amazed at the silence!

And here's the message I was greeted with this morning:
The last time you used your ResMed AutoSet For Her...
was last night (on Monday, 2 October 2017)
You had an AHI of 3.21, which is considered technically "treated"
You machine was on for 6 hours, 31 minutes and 59 seconds.
You had significant periods of major mask leakage.
Your pressure was under 12.54cmH2O for 95% of the time.

I'll take that Big Grin

Night 4
Was a more comfortable night, although I can't say the same for the nap. No real sleep, but the odd doze.
The snores were the worst to date. Weird.

RE: Rank Newbie
Just got the email saying results are ready. Here's the recommendation. Still wrangling for my results proper.

Interesting, given what I'm already on. And that pressures on my Sleepyhead readings exceed by just a smidge.

I would still try to get an APAP machine. Your current results show 12 cm still results in OA, however the clinical titration does not take into account the EPR you are using. In any event, you want a machine that provides data.

RE: Rank Newbie
Er.. I've been using one since Saturday. With your recommendations based on Sleepyhead data from the first night.
Is it worth uploading the titration graphs?

RE: Rank Newbie
I guess they are not taking that away. Looks like their results are pretty close to your own experience to minimize events. I was reacting to the "fixed" pressure recommendation.

Isn't the Airsense 10 Autoset an APAP? Mine looks identical to Doza's. Or maybe I've missed something?

Ah, yes. I guess the more simple the titration, the more simple the prescription. That plus the fact I managed the P10 well enough for a first timer as well. Seems I'm nothing special LOL Tongue
