Recommended soft cervical collar?

Recommended soft cervical collar?
In my sleep study, like most people I would imagine, my breathing was much worse in the supine position. I've seen that a soft cervical collar helps people a lot by avoiding chin tucking. I'm thinking of getting one. What cervical collars do you guys recommend for sleep apnea.

Thanks

The ones I see mentioned the most are:

Caldera Releaf (the one I use, best to purchase direct from them)
Core (Amazon)
Velpeau (Amazon)

There are others as well, but those seem to be the most popular.

Make sure you measure and size it appropriately.

I tried several and liked the Caldera ReLeaf the best. I think they are cheapest on Amazon.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask:  Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution

i second the caldera releaf. i had many miserable experiences with a couple other ones. it doesn't appear that it will last a full year, but for now it suits my purposes well.

good luck.

Hi, thanx for the info on the cervical collar for positional apnea.
Wondering how you sized this?

Did you measure your neck? How?
Did you buy one that is larger, smaller or same size as the manufacturer suggestion?

I just got one made by Willcom. It's probably a knock-off of some other company's. Never mind: it has a leopard skin design. It is softish. I now don't use a pillow for my head. I am quite happy with it; I seem to have low mask leakage, though my jaw prolly drops open since I get dry mouth. And, yes, I'm all about the leopard skin design.

I tried one of those stiff ones for neck problems. It was like lying on a lump. No thank you.

Go to the corflex.com web site. They will have a full range of styles and sizes. They will also tell how to measure to get the correct size and height.

One size does not fit all.
CPAP is a journey like “The Wizard of Oz”. It’s a long slow journey. You will face many problems and pick up many friends along the way. Just because you reach the poppies, it doesn’t mean you are in Kansas.

Here's another vote for the Caldera Releaf.

I have tried the traditional "medical" ones, but they are not only less comfortable, but getting the correct size is a major pain. Despite my having purchased two that correspond to my neck size, they were both too big and the ends overlapped at the back, even without it being very tight. I fixed one of them by opening up the end, cutting off part of the foam, and sewing it back together, but it still didn't work as well as the Releaf.
