ResMed A10 questions
Can anyone comment on these issures?

S10 uses pressure triggering vs. flow triggering on the S9 and other brands.
Built in humidifier vs. external. Whole machine goes down if humidifier stops working.
Internal memory, how do you transfer data for compliance verification?

Thanks.

From AirSense clinical manual
Remote monitoring: The AirSense 10 device has cellular communication which has the ability to automatically transmit summary and night profile data on a regular basis. It also allows you to change settings remotely.
The Wireless signal strength icon displayed at the top right of the screen indicates the signal strength. Advise the patient to check the signal strength on their device.

When using the device on a plane: Make sure the water tub is completely empty and inserted into the device. The device will not work without the water tub inserted

From Supplier #1: Side Cover For AirSense 10 Machines
The Side Cover For AirSense 10 Machines by ResMed allows the AirSense line of machines to be used without engaging the built-in heated humidifier. The side cover is attached to the side of the machine which the chamber would otherwise fit.

Pressure triggering, I believe, means that the machine senses the beginning of inhalation by a pressure change rather than a flow change like the S9 used. Which is better and why it is better, I am not totally sure. I would think that the pressure change could be sensed more quickly and accurately and they already use some pretty fine pressure transducers.

Just my 2 cents, Sleep-well
