ResScan CPAP Reporting Software (OLD version: 5.5) [Archived Discussions]

It doesn't really work that way. When you install a program it modifies the registry, so it not just a collection of files.

If I were you I'd back up the installation file and all of your data files on your external drive. That way if you ever have a crash you have everything you need to re-install on a new machine or new hard drive.

RE: ResScan CPAP Reporting Software (current version: 4.1)
Thanks for your info, Paula and Sleepster. It seems that you're both describing similar reasons for the error(s) of my original idea. Although I don't yet know what a registry is, it does sound like a definite problem. Meanwhile, I believe I have found (i.e., stumbled upon) and copied over to my external HD the download file. When I put the cursor over it, it's described as "Setup Launcher." It's 95MB, described as Application of ResScan 3.16 for ResMed S9 Elite, which was my first machine before I made the trade for an AutoSet. It's icon is different than that of the program itself. When I double click on it, I get the usual Windows warning asking if I'm sure I want to subject my computer to this unknown source. I haven't gone further than that because I don't want to mess up the program already doing nicely in the computer.
So, does it sound to you like I have the file needed to download the ResScan application, which is what you suggest I keep on my backup drive just in case?
RE: ResScan CPAP Reporting Software (current version: 4.1)
Just out of curiosity, couldn't you just make a system restore point prior to installation, then if the installation borks your PC, use System Restore after the fact to restore the PC to the pre-software install status?

RE: ResScan CPAP Reporting Software (current version: 4.1)
That might be possible, Super. I've had to do a system restore once after a Windows update messed up the entire desktop, but I'm wary enough of the possibility of "borking" my computer to resist that urge right now.

RE: ResScan CPAP Reporting Software (current version: 4.1)
Hi, I'm a new member and would like to download ResScan 4.1 software. I have tried to do this via the links in the member's area but it appears that these links no longer work. I have tried both 3.16 & 4.1 versions but to no avail.

Could someone please help me and direct me to a current link where I am able to download this software. Many thanks.

Welcome to Apnea Board, TigerBoy! Smile

There is no software download link to ResScan in the Private Files & Links Forum, so I'm not sure what you're talking about. Dont-know

What is in that Private Files & Links Forum, (CLICK HERE) is directions on how you can obtain the download link via email request only. We don't allow the direct link to ResScan to be posted on the forums - you have to ask for it via email by following the instructions in that thread.

I just tried both links that are being sent out via email and they both work fine. If you're having trouble downloading the files, I'd suggest doing so at a time of day when your local Internet provider is not busy - like very early in the morning or very late at night.

Good luck. Coffee

RE: ResScan CPAP Reporting Software (current version: 4.1)
Thank you SuperSleeper for your very speedy reply - much appreciatedThanks

I forgot to mention in my previous message that I did manage to obtain the links to ResScan 4.1 via email from the Private Files & Links Forum. I received them but somehow they did not work. I again tried the link today and this time it workedSmile

I have now downloaded my sleep data to ResScan 4.1 and everything looks OK so far, but will need to learn a little more about it before I can comment on it further.

Thanks again for your help.Sleep-well

I'm new here and installed and used the ResScan 3.16 software without any problems. I wish to post a big THANK YOU for making it possible going the way to a major patient.
