Resmed 11 autoset For Her mode help!
Hi,
I need help! I have Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome. I use Resmed Autoset 11. For a year I’ve used it on just autoset mode and my average pressure is 5 or 6. I continue to wake every night for past year at 3 am with severe restless sleep (not restless leg!) and drs can’t figure out why.  Every time I call DASCO and speak to a respiratory therapist they don’t seem to know much about why or the machine besides just basics.  So I switched it to Autoset For Her mode. My pressure skyrocketed the past 3 nights I’ve been on this New mode to between 8 and 9.  It’s keeping me wide awake a lot of the night because I’m so sensitive and this for me is A lot of pressure. I called my sleep dr, resmed, DASCO and No one could tell me why my pressure now is so high on For Her mode. So I’m asking this board for any ideas what is going on. The weirdest thing is as I lie awake in middle of night my pressure still says 8 or 9!

You've come to the right place.

The people here have helped me so much. I don't have the skill to read the OSCAR charts. Others do.

Start is to download OSCSAR, and others have links for that. Top of this page there's a link..." OSCAR "
That's the first bit.

Second step is to take the SD card from your machine (I have the same machine!) and download it using OSCAR. Take a screen shot...and post that picture.

My story...been doing this for over 35 years. My machine is the best I've had. I'm not computer smart. But I managed to download OSCAR and put it on my computer. I would have said that's a miracle, but the software is so easy to use! The people that know it are amazing. But they need to know what's happening and OSCAR is the best way...

Your treatment is important. Once you take these steps you'll get comments that will help you a lot.

If I had to rely upon my sleep doc I don't think I would have lived this long.

I hope this helps.

For us to be able to answer your question: "why my pressure now is so high on For Her mode"

We need you to post some OSCAR Reports.!

   Please help us help you.

RE: Resmed 11 autoset For Her mode help!
As UnicornRider and DaveL said, we need OSCAR information for any detailed analysis.

First off, 8 or 9 is not high pressure. Many use pressures of 15 and beyond with no issues. It is primarily a matter of acclimating to a new way of sleeping.

Without any data to analyse the best we can do is make an educated guess. For that, try starting with pressure of min 6, max 12, EPR 2. You may, or may not, need higher or lower pressures. Starting from there we have a good starting point.

If you do not know how to set things on your AS11, get the Clinician’s manuall and watch YouTube videos for setting up your machine.

Note that you already have a number of therapy threads, all asking for OSCAR data. I know it can be daunting, but there are plenty of guides and YouTube videos that can help with getting it installed and producing reports.
