The DME  is concerned that the doctor's script includes a Max press 25 cmH2o and they can't set that on the AirCurve ASV.  The AirCurve ASV does not have a max pressure setting like the Dreamstation BPAP Auto ASV.  The  script, however, calls for Min epap 9 cmH2o and max PS 15.  Doesn't that equate to a max press of 24?  Seems like we are splitting straws here or am I missing something?

Actually, the Resmed ASV's maximum pressure is 30 cm.  The Aircurve Bi-Level is 25 cm.

On the Resmed there are two modes

Under ASV mode the max ipap pressure is EPAP  + max PS

So a setting of setting of Epap 9 and max PS would achieve a max pressure of 24 not as prescribed if your splitting hairs

But in ASVauto mode there is an extra setting of Max EPAP this would limit the total pressure by the following settings

Mode. ASVauto
MinEpap 9
MaxEpap 10
Min PS 5
Max PS 15

MaxEpap of 10 + Max PS of 15 gives a max pressure of 25

Not ideal setting I would want MaxEpap at 15 but it achieves the prescription for now once you have the machine I would likely recommend the a slight modification to the default settings of the Resmed

Mode ASVauto
MinEpap 6
MaxEpap 15
Min PS 3
MaxPS 15

And let the machine work it out The Resmed is very responsive and good at treating both OA’s and CA’s

Thanks everybody for the input! Thanks
Crimson Nape hit the jackpot by pointing out that the ResMed ASV has an operational max of 25.  I found that on page 33 of the clinicians manual.  Armed with that information, I hope to get the DME to deliver the ResMed ASV tomorrow.  Thanks again everyone.

As Jaswilliams said the max pressure is a function of EPAP plus Max PS. Using the clinical manual is a great strategy. You might want to share it with them Wink

You did a great job hanging in there with the information needed to educate your DME.

RE: Resmed Aircurve ASV vs Phillips Drean ST autoSV H/C DS
I notice that Oscar does not display certain graphs for the AirCurve 10 ASV that I previously saw on the AirSense 10 Autoset. Specifically, I was looking for a graph for leaks and one for pressure (only mask pressure is shown).  Is that a function of the information provided by the AirCurve10 ASV or is it something that I have or have not done.  Thanks
