Resmed Airsense 11 Random SD Card Issues

Resmed Airsense 11 Random SD Card Issues
Does anyone else have an issue with the Airsense 11 not recording SD data randomly?
  • I've checked if the lock on the SD card was engaged - it was not.
  • I've clicked in the SD card and have checked every time if the "Loading SD Card" screen on the Airsense 11 shows which it does and there are no errors that show.
  • I've also rebooted the Airsense 11 every now and then which seems to fix the issue but then the whole not recording thing comes back.
  • I'm using a legit SanDisk 32GB Ultra so I doubt that's the issue.
MyAir and onboard stats shows correct usage data but they're both way too simple to be useful..

Should I maybe switch to an Airsense 10 as that might have less issues with the SD card recording data?

RE: Resmed Airsense 11 Random SD Card Issues
Hi ineedsomesleep!  -  Welcome
Your issue appears to be a hit-or-miss type of problem that is machine specific and not the whole model line.  Several members here have reported that they have to power down their AS11 when removing and replacing the SD card, then power up after reinserting it.  I would tend to believe that its firmware is not fully reinitializing its communication handshake upon the remounting of the SD card.  You could always try a different brand of SD card to see if the problem follows the card or stays with the machine.

I'll see how a different SD card works.. Purchased a Verbatim 4GB SD Card.

let us know how it works. I have had a lot of issues with low quality SD cards in different applications, so spending a few $ more on a quality card makes sense.

Same problem occurred last night with the Verbatim 4GB SD Card... Used it the same way as when I had the SanDisk Ultra - took it out and put it in without shutting it off / making sure it read the SD card with no errors / checked the lock position etc... Unfortunately, no data was recorded last night which is annoying to say the least.

I'll try Crimson Nape's suggestion of only taking out/inserting the SD card ONLY when the unit is off and see if that fixes things.

I would talk to the DME about updating software, repair, or replacement ..

I've seen the same thing multiple times.
When re-inserting an SD card, I noticed that sometimes the blue LED next to the card slot does not light up to indicate the card is being read.

However, if I unplug and then power the Airsense 11 back up, it reads the card just fine.

Definitely a firmware issue Resmed needs to address.

Unfortunately you'll have better odds of winning the lottery or Publishers Clearing House with Ed McMahon bringing the check. ResMed will probably not address this anytime soon.

I'm using airsense 10 and I've noticed many "your sdcard is corrupted" msgs in windows, asking to reformat it

I solved it by always unplugging the cpap from the power outlet before inserting or removing the sdcard.. Now it basically stays all day really OFF and I only turn it on to sleep (after reinserting the sdcard)

Turning off the airsense 11 when removing the SD card did not fix my particular issue - maybe it does for the 10 Smile
