S9 Autoset climateline technical question?

Hi, a question for someone with a multimeter and a climateline hose.
Could you maybe measure the resistances across the 3 contacts for me please?

I've had no problems with rainout for over 2 yrs but am now getting some. I'm not sure if it's the climateline hose or how to check it's working.
I've not checked the voltage at the machine contacts yet, I thought I'd resistance check the heater coil in the tubing first. I'm getting 10 ohms between contacts 1+2 and open circuit between contact 3 and the others.
Have nothing to compare what is normal at the moment.
Any advice?

My multimeter's a bit old and dodgy but the following are approximately right:

Pin 1 - Pin 2: 5 ohm
Pin 1 - Pin 3: 175
Pin 2 - Pin 3: 175

Those numbers may be off a bit, but there's definitely a current between Pin 3 and the others.

In the States they apparently replace these hoses after 6 months. Mine's about 18 months and still OK, touch wood.

Paul: Try between 1 or 2 and pin 3 in both polarities.
Pins 1 to 2 must be the heater; with one pin being the common.
Pin3 is likely the sensor. It may be a thermistor; or it could be a forward diode.

If a thermistor, it will read the same either polarity; if a diode it may appear open for one polarity.

@wirdy - I would guess your sensor has gone open circuit.

That's good though, it means it's the cheaper thing to fix!

It reads the same every which way, so likely a thermistor rather than a diode.
