ResMed Air Sense 11 Water tub disassembly

ResMed Air Sense 11 Water tub disassembly
I have recently purchased a ResMed Air Sense 11 and I would like to know if anyone has been able to safely remove the clam shell lid?
I would like to remove it if possible to fit it into my UV disinfectant Lumin 3000 drawer. When assembled the water tub doesn't fit in drawer.
I have used a CPAP since November 2021, also new to this BB. Thank you in advance for any help you might have on this subject.

The lid is easily removed.  Look at this diagram.  Once the lid is fully opened, just gently twist at the sides where it is attached to the base.
