My doctor said I could try getting a loaner machine to see which one I like. I'm leaning toward an AirSense 11. This would cost me an additional CAD 100 (USD 73). Does it make sense to get one or should I buy it outright?

Should I get a loaner machine?
I've been recently diagnosed with moderate OSA (AHI 18).

I would suggest the Airsense 10 instead. It has years of good experience behind it. Some folks are having trouble with the 11s.

you could try it for a month see if apap is enough for you.
but you could also totally just buy it. Airsense 11 and 10s are the best machines anyways. the only real "issue" of the 11 is the opt-out mic inside if you care about that.

The Airsense 11 has a smaller motor, and quite a few people have reported mechanical problems with the machine.

I can see if I can get 10 but I'm thinking will it get any updates? For example, if there's a new algorithm. I also like that 11 is smaller and easier to carry for traveling.

It's entirely up to you of course. I just stated my opinion.
