Unexpected billing items from DME

Unexpected billing items from DME
I received a notice today that I had an unpaid balance from my DME Rotech.  After logging in and looking at the invoice , it is for a "PAP Monitor Device" in the amount of $10.  My insurance covers everything at 100%, so this is immediately questionable.  I received a new Resmed Vauto last month, so this is related to that approval.  I know I do not have a compliance requirement because I asked.  So this charge for monitoring is bogus.  I'll call tomorrow to object.  Stay tuned.  I expect this charge will be cancelled.  I'm only posting this for members that may receive unexpected charges and just pay them.  I won't.

I will call tomorrow and remove any authorization for remote monitoring of my PAP device by Rotech. There is no requirement for it by insurance, and I do not want it. I'll keep you posted.

I paid the first month but have opted out of monitoring. Path of least resistance.
