Still extremely tired after almost 4 years of Bipap
Hello,

Could you please help? I have been using Bipap for almost 4 years, and still feel extremely tired and need 2 hours nap (sleep by sitting on a chair) every day. I have checked my thyroid function, and the result is normal near the middle of the range. I have attached my OSCAR charts.

Thanks a lot!

Hello, your PS is only 2, do you take advantage of any other bilevel features like cycle and trigger timing?

Yes, I have tried PS 4 or even 5, which gives me aerophagia when the pressure goes more than 13. One thing I  found out strange is that I feel better rested when I sleep without Bipap, but wake up more frequently. My Spo2 level is 96-97 without Bipap, and 94-95 with Bipap, which does not make much sense to me.

Your machine has been shown (I have the same machine) to help centrals by moving the trigger setting to very high.  I can not see what your setting is, we can't see the bottom of the left column. I would suggest the following settings.  Try them and post tomorrow.

Min 6
max 15
PS 4
Trigger very high
Apnea (80-100%) 10 seconds, Hypopnea (50-80%) 10 seconds, Flow Limits (0-50%) not timed  Cervical Collar - Dealing w DME - Chart Organizing

Hi Stacy,

My sleep doctor's prescription was 8 - 13 from about 2 years ago. My current setting is 12.40 EPAP and 13.40 EPAP for last night. Here is the attached chart for last night, and it has the machine settings:

Hi topdba7,

Could you upload a couple of detail graphs from last night? Zoom into the flow rate section where there are minor "flow limits" shown. Say just before 02:30 and a shade after 05:00. Try and show about 60 seconds of data in the screen and set the flow rate to a fixed height (right click to the left of the graph, select y-axis and set mode "override", min -40, max +40 or similar).

Nearly! The flow rate graph is off the top. Could you reupload with the flow rate graph included.

Should you be interested, here's what I'm looking for...
