AHI 0.00 Last night
[attachment=3903]Hi all, I joined this forum about a year ago. I got a lot of information on here and have been successfully using my machine for all that time. I average about 2.7 AHI, which I think is pretty good. Last night, I woke up for a bathroom break and checked my AHI and for the first time it was all zeros. I had been sleeping for almost 5 hours.  Thought I would share with all of you................

Using FlashAir W-03 SD card in machine. You can download your data through wifi with FlashPAP or Sleep Master utilities.

I wanted to learn Binary so I enrolled in Binary 101. I seemed to have missed the first four courses. Big Grinnie

Stick it to the man, Download OSCAR and take back control of your data!

Thanks. Being a numbers type of a person, I have been somewhat obsessed with the AHI right from the time I started on the CPAP. I have never been able to figure out any correlations driving the numbers. The AHI seems to be very random when it comes to "cause and effect". There was certainly nothing done any differently last night when it was 0.00. I keep looking for things that I am doing that effect the numbers but to date I have not been successful. I probably won't see another 0.00 night for a long time.

Be positive about another 0.00 Mark! It will come. The first one is great! It was long time before my first one, but I have everything dialed in correctly, I guess, thanks to folks on this forum, and have had 3 in the last 30 days.

Congrats!  I rarely see a 0.0 rate, but the fact you got on the pressure and kept at it is hopefully paying off. Your results, including the 2.7 normal, is what we're shooting for as long as you're feeling pretty good.  I think too many people think a realistic expectation is 0.0 all the time.  It's a nice one to celebrate.   Thanks

Actually I think AHI just an indication of the rate of blockage within a certain period. There was a couple of nights that I never actually fell asleep. Staying awake the whole night. Wake up in the morning and got 0 AHI. It was a terrible day. And also there was times I was taking an hour afternoon nap and woke up with 0 AHI too.
Not meant to discourage you. I just want to say you will benefit from a 0 AHI index only you had a sound long sleep. I can consistantly inhale/exhale the whole night and get this perfect index. For 5 hours sleep with a zero AHI index is pretty good.

I know it's not all about the numbers. Now that I managed to squeak out the 0.00 maybe I won't be so obsessed with the AHI. It is all about feeling well rested and one's health.  The AHI is an indicator that you are or are not on the right path with the settings.

Personally, I never noticed too much difference in how I felt using the machine. I have kind of gone on blind faith that it is good for me. I acclimated to it very quickly, once I found the right mask and size. My compliance is 100%. I missed one night in the last year, because I was too sick to use it.

The night after my 0.00 I was at 4.0. Last night I woke up after about six hours and was at 1.2. After a bathroom break I restarted the machine and laid in bed for an hour and ended up with a 2.4. I guess I am still a little obsessed with the numbers. Hey, what ever works....

Good to see you hit the magic number.
How did you feel though?

I hit it at the weekend, I even slept for an unusually long 10 hours, usually 6 is my maximum.
I felt great, maybe I caught up on all my sleep?

I got another 0.0 last night, so long may it continue.
Only 6hrs sleep though!

Keep it up and you can have a chocolate teapot Laugh-a-lot
