Can someone advise on these results? It was posted on my chart.
Dr isn’t available until late next week. Also why does my heart rate say low 47 and high 109?
Respiratory Events The patient had 93 hypopneas and 2 apneas for an overall Apnea + Hypopnea Index (AHI) of 12. Supine AHI was 10 and non-supine AHI was 5.5. The average SaO2 value during the recording was 93%. The minimum SaO2 value was 79%. The oxygen desaturation index (ODI) was 12.2. The patient spent 14% of time with oxygen saturation < 90% and 46 minutes of the evaluation time with oxygen saturation levels at or < 88%. ( OXIMETRY CHANNEL ARTIFACT NOTED ) Cardiac Events The average heart rate recorded was 84. The lowest recorded heart rate was 47 and highest recorded heart rate was 109. Diagnosis Obstructive sleep apnea (adult, pediatric) - G47.33
Impressions / Findings - The patient reports sleeping for a total of 5-6 hours during this test and waking up 2 times with a total awake time of up to 1 hour. The patient felt their sleep quality was worse than normal.
- Mild obstructive sleep apnea.
- Snoring was noted.
- Severity of sleep apnea may be underestimated due to limited montage recorded during home testing

Because that was the lowest and highest heart rate recorded during the study.
12 ahi is mild OSA like stated so i think you will get a cpap prescription. Your oxygen levels aren't great either so another reason why CPAP should help.

Thanks. Aren’t those heart rates too low and high?

maybe a bit high something to discuss with the doc.
Quote:“What’s normal for an individual can vary based on a number of factors like your age, weight, genetics, physical activity and other health conditions you have,” clarifies Dr. Faulx. “If you’re having a sleeping heart rate of below 40 beats per minute or above 100 beats per minute during sleep as an adult, that would be outside of the normal range. Whether that’s something to be concerned about or not really depends on how you feel and what other medical conditions there are.”

For someone with obstructive sleep apnea, which you will be diagnosed with by those numbers, your heart rate numbers are not out of the ordinary. Definitely discuss it with your doctor, but from someone who works with patients one-on-one everyday, there's nothing extraordinary about them. Your O2 is rather low though / ODI high. CPAP will be quite helpful I imagine. Good luck moving forward!

Are oxygen levels dangerous? Is if common with sleep apnea? If I don’t get this fixed I’m done for? I’ve got my type 2 diabetes controlled with low carb and taking Mounjaro and recently lost 20 lbs but I noticed I’ve been sleeping even worse. Dry mouth. Congestion. Hands falling asleep.

very common with sleep apnea, normal that your o2 level drops if you stop breathing for a little bit. cpap will bring your o2 levels back up.
i don't think you would be "done for" but over the course of 20-30y it's not great. ppl develop cardiac damage and other problems long term.
