Transmitting pap data

Sorry if this has been answered before but I couldn't find one with a search --

A month or so ago I transitioned from my S9 to an Aircurve auto 10. This is a question about how to send my data from my SD card (or computer file copy) to my Dr.'s office.

As they didn't supply me w/ a machine w/ a modem, I asked the technician (?) if I could send her the data instead of having to bring it in and she said yes and gave me her email address to send it to. After looking at the files, I see that the DATALOG file is 172 MB, way too large to send via email.

Can anybody suggest the best way to give them my data without having to physically hand them the SD card?

I find it odd that your AirCurve VAuto doesn't have a modem. I know that most newer AirSenses are Card-to-Cloud (ResMed's way of saying modemless)

Can you verify your AirCurve is documented as Card-to_Cloud?

Having said that, you need more than just the DATALOG directory. You also need the files at the top of the SD Card.

I would:

• Zip the entire content of the SD Card
  
• Place it on cloud based drive (Google, Microsoft one drive) and then send her the link.

The OP may very well have a Card-to-Cloud AirCurve VAuto.

Some online suppliers are selling the AirCurve 10 VAuto BiLevel, the (Card-to-Cloud Version).  I only checked a few, but Supplier #1 and Supplier #26 list the VAuto C-T-C.

If you are concerned about privacy and the sensitivity of your data/treatment, you may want to consider using Bitwarden. It is an open source password manager whose desktop application allows you to also send files to securely. You can zip the contents of your CPAP memory card, then upload it to Bitwarden. then send the link to your Dr. Office and provide them the password (preferably by a different way than you send them the link unless you have a secure way of communicating with them). You can also specify how many times your uploaded file can be downloaded and when the link expires.

This approach allows you to send a large file to them, and also do it securely (if that matters to  you).

Another option is to pull your data into OSCAR, then print a report from that, save as a pdf, and then send that to your Doctor's office. They may or may not accept that. I am fortunate that my physician is fine just seeing the OSCAR report.

Make a screenshot of OSCARs summary page. That SHOULD do it, so send a screenshot of that to the tech and ask if that is sufficient

Sorry I got sidetracked from this thread and thanks to you who responded ...

Anyway, I ended up doing something similar to the first response. I realized that I had learned earlier that there was a way to upload my data as a folder containing the files and two folders to my Google acct. (didn't zip them, ~ 170 MB) and send the link to the technician whereby she downloaded them satisfactorily. They wanted the data as it is on the card. I'm not concerned about the privacy as people often submit OSCAR data to this forum.

What irritates me is that the DME gave me a 'crippled' machine w/o the modem and that wending my way through all the BS and changes that Medicare and Blue cross/Blue Shield has created is extremely dissatisfying. The best thing I've found is the comprehensive "Dealing with insurance & Medicare" article in the Apnea Board Wiki. Although I'm not through it yet, I think it's a God-send thanks to the contributors. 

 I have several other questions/thoughts that I need to submit under different titles.

 
P.S. Although I changed my BPAP pressure from 'Fixed 20 cm' to 20/15 in my profile it's not showing in the preview. Also I had 'NOT a new member...' in my sig, but I'm still listed as a new member with no prior posts (joined 2019.)

When making changes in your profile, you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to "update" your profile, or the previous settings will remain.
Also, this... New Members will not be able to use the forum signature feature until they transition to the regular "Members" group.

Membership levels are based on post count, not so much the year you joined.
After 4 posts, you will transition into the Member group.

This comment you made in this thread gives me hope that you could answer a question. I’m trying to access CPAP data that I copied from the CPAP SD cards onto my Mac over the past 5 years. Any folders titled “Backup” are uploading into my Oscar profile just fine. However, some of the copied data folders only have DATALOG folders and when I point OSCAR at them, no data is uploaded to my profile (though there is data under the DATALOG folder on the Mac). It sound like that’s because there are files missing upstream of the DATALOG folder? 

Is there any way to correct this?  E.g. get the needed files onto the Mac OR put the data from the Mac onto an SD card, place it into the CPAP machine and then see if OSCAR will recognize it? Or, since the data is from 2018, will the CPAP machine erase the data?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
