6bez8dF5lf - Therapy Help,
Huhsign
Hello,
I've been on CPAP therapy since February, using a borrowed BREAS machine.
Last week I finally got my own machine from my insurance, a Prisma Smart.
I have been feeling better, more energetic since starting therapy but am still having issues with tiredness.
I have one night of Oscar data which I have attached to this post.
I noticed that there is high leakage and flow limitation.
Can someone please help me understand the results?

Thanks for the reply.
How do I understand the high flow limitations?

Can't seem to see flow limitations on the graph
There is an idea that increasing Expiratory Relief Pressure(ERP) helps with that

RE: Help with interpreting OSCAR results
I think that getting the leaks under control is probably your priority. Are you using a nasal mask? I’d guess you’re mouth breathing a fair bit. You could either try mouth taping or a chin strap to help with that. I’ve also found a cervical collar can help to keep the mouth closed. The other option would be to try either a hybrid mask that fits just under the nostrils and covers the mouth, or a full mask.

I’m sure others will chime in on refining your therapy.

I suggest you try mouth tape.  That is what works for me.  I have to use 2-inch wide tape cut about 5 inches long.  More narrow or shorter tape and I still have lots of leaks.
Machine:  ResMed AirCurve 10 Vauto
Mask:  Bleep DreamPort Sleep Solution

Thanks for the replies everyone.
So I slept with a chin strap last night, and there were much fewer leaks.
This time there were also less flow limitations.
However my AHI went up from 6 to 8.
How do I improve my AHI? Do I need to change my pressure settings?

RE: Help with interpreting OSCAR results
Hello everyone,
So I have some OSCAR data to report.
My AHI is between 6 - 9 and FL index is between 10 - 38.
How can I lower the AHI and flow limitations?
I tried changing the pressure settings from 4-9 to 8-12, but I don't think its helping.
