Help with Oscar and tweaking settings
Hey all, first time posting. I've been on CPAP for a month now. I feel like my numbers are decent, at least going by AHI (which was 35 in my sleep test). My mask is a ResMed AirFit N30i. I've tweaked my pressure settings to 7-14, EPR 3, no ramp. I've posted 3 night's worth of Oscar data. What can I do to improve?

RE: Help with Oscar and tweaking settings
Not too much to change, but just a few points:-
Your overall leaks and flow limitations are roughly within norms, except for some peaks of both these that seem to push up pressures a bit. Keep an eye on potential leak areas, mask and mouth breathing, You may want to increase your minimum a tad, perhaps to 8, to clear up some of the odd events. It could smooth down some of the flow limitations. Graph presentation, minor observations:- - You have "wrap around" statistics on the left - widen it so easier to see. - Reduce the y axis range for thé leaks and especially the flow limitations graphs to get better detail. (Leak rate max 40, flow limitations max 0.5) Of course the important thing is for you to decide how you are feeling. This is the acid test, not the numerical results. If all is O,K, best to leave well alone with current settings,

Your numbers are good, but the flow rate looks like your nights are restless. As ExPat said, how are you feeling?
If you are open to experimentation, try the following: Min pressure 9 Max pressure 15 EPR 3 full-time With your median pressure hovering around 9, giving it a bit more pressure should help with the initial comfort.

RE: Help with Oscar and tweaking settings
I've always been a deep but restless sleeper, so that makes sense. Lots of tossing and turning and different positions. This morning I woke up on my stomach with my mask pressed into my face. I'd say that so far I definitely feel an improvement - I can read for more than 15 minutes without dozing off, and I can watch a movie in the theater without falling asleep. And feel more alert in the morning. But I still get sleepy in the afternoons, so there's room for improvement. I suppose my body needs time to catch up on the sleep deficit.
