[Treatment] Need help with ASV settings
#1
Question
Need help with ASV settings
Hello,
I waited to see a sleep specialist for three months, and I've been waiting for my sleep study for the last month. Since it has been taking so long, I decided to buy myself a machine and start the treatment on my own. I purchased the ASV thinking it is the only one that could treat all types of apnea (since I don't know which one I have); just wanted to stop the long list of symptoms as soon as possible. Anyway, I started using ASV, and every day, I feel better and better - waking up is not hard anymore and experiencing some cognitive improvements. I struggled for a few days with the ASV blowing like crazy every time I turned in my sleep, but since I started wearing a cervical collar, that stopped. However, I am not sure if I am on the right track in terms of my numbers, not necessarily AHI, since that is low, but Tidal Volume and Flow Limit seem high, and in case you notice anything else which is too high or weird, I would be happy to hear your feedback and how to adjust settings to address any of these. Attached are screenshots from last night.
Thank you for all your help in this journey. I learned about a cervical collar from this forum.
