[Treatment] Valtor Therapy Thread - from Autoset to Vauto

RE: Valtor Therapy Thread - from Autoset to Vauto
Ok thanks for that. So we have probably reached max efficacy. Then I will slowly lower pressures every day until it reintroduces real events. I feel I don't need this much pressure. Right now, pretty much all events are false positives. Which means I am at 0 RDI/AHI already.
RE: Valtor Therapy Thread - from Autoset to Vauto
I think I over compensated with lower pressures. I will bring it up a little.
Also I realised that TiMax is not just the max time you have to complete the inspiration phase. It also shapes how the PS is applied. This video was helpful in this regard. A shorter TiMax results in a much punchier PS. The increase in pressure to reach IPAP happens within the timeframe given by the TiMax. I'm gonna put this back to 2.2s. I think this will help with rounding off what we see in this graph.

I don't think letting the machine change pressures is helpful to me. Pressure changes seems to be waking me up more than the Flow Limits it is reacting to. So I'm going to still use VAuto because it gives more data (like Flow Limits) compared to S mode, but I will be locking EPAP, IPAP and PS together from now on. Here are the settings I am going to try next.
EPAP Min: 9 IPAP Max: 14 PS: 5 Ti Max: 2.2 Ti Min: 1.0 Trigger: Very High Cycle: Very Low

Well those settings were just bad. Horrible night. But I love experimenting. So the search goes on.

I don't like the cycle setting. Return to medium.

Indeed. That was not a good idea.
Today, I've been using the machine while awake and adjusting it live until I thought I was getting a good baseline. I ended up with this. EPAP Min: 5.4 IPAP Max: 14 PS: 4.6 Ti Max: 3.2 Ti Min: 0.3 Trigger: Low Cycle: Low I dont' know why Low/Low seems to feel best. These were what I used on my first night with the AirCurve. That night was great. But ok, I'll make them Med/Med as per your suggestion.

Much better night. Woke up only about 6-7 times.
This OA here, if I understand correctly, it is not a real OA right? Because there is a larger inspiration before the OA?

Whether real or not is less important than sleeping better. Keep in mind the PAP can only facilitate good sleep, it is not the underlying foundation of good sleep.

RE: Valtor Therapy Thread - from Autoset to Vauto
Yes, thanks for the reminder. I might very well be waking up for reasons unrelated to anything respiratory.
Since my numbers are low, I am going to go much more with how I feel the night went. I am documenting this in the Notes section in Oscar, using the nicely provided slider scale of 0 to 10. My next night will be using this. EPAP Min: 7.4 IPAP Max: 15 PS: 3.6 Ti Max: 3.2 Ti Min: 0.3 Trigger: Med Cycle: Med
