Uses for Extra Distilled Water
#11
RE: Uses for Extra Distilled Water
I have another use for the left over distilled water. Use it the next night. Big Grin I simply use what is left in my tub and top it off the next night. Nu mess, no fuss. I have not had even a cold since I started CPAP 4 years ago.

I empty the tank and wash it sometimes as in whenever I get a round tuit and I do not get many of those.

Best Regards,

PaytonA

I'm with Payton on this one - I just top up the tank every night. However I do strip everything down and give it a good clean once a week.

Just reading that makes me tired. I don't get more than 10 minutes more sleep than you do, but I'm also a beginning cpapper. How the heck do you function with that little sleep? Do you take naps?

Doctor and former surgeon - we're trained to operate on little sleep, and it gets to be a habit after a number of years. If it is any consolation, since I have finally gotten a new mattress, switching out from a futon after 28 years to a spring mattress and topper, I have a harder time getting out of bed. I still sleep the same number of hours, but now I need to lie in bed a while instead of just roll out, not sure why, and it takes longer for me to get under, as I feel like I am in a valley and my limbs are all forced uphill. Ever since I bought the thing I had had a disturbed sleep pattern, so I may just still be adjusting to something so soft. On the other hand, my back and neck feel better, which is why I bought it. After a "certain age" one simply cannot withstand a futon after the lifetime of punishment the body has received in my profession. And frankly I prefer a new mattress to getting a hip replacement, like a fellow surgeon I went to school with. 30 years of standing up to 18 hours in an operating theatre did her hip in, and had been threatening to do my back and neck in. My achilles tendons are already shot, as are my knees. So if the mattress heads off that eventuality (my osteopath thinks so) then I'm all for it.

I top off too and clean once a week. Been working fine for me. Tubs are cheap ~$22 at least for the Airsense 10, that if it ever gets messed up I will just get a new one.
Using FlashAir W-03 SD card in machine. You can download your data through wifi with FlashPAP or Sleep Master utilities.

I wanted to learn Binary so I enrolled in Binary 101. I seemed to have missed the first four courses. Big Grinnie

Stick it to the man, Download OSCAR and take back control of your data!

Thanks Ian. Like I didn't have enough Honey-Do projects to tackle. Mornincoffee

My use:

I clean my plasma TV panels and camera lenses with distilled water and a microfiber cloth. Any solvent will leave a residue but distilled water doesn't.

My new Subaru has a stereo camera-based adaptive cruise control and anti-collision system that says not to spray the windshield with a cleaner unless you mask off the camera lenses first. I'll probably use distilled water on the inside of the windshield, too.

Whew. Not being able to use an antifreeze such as alcohol in the windshield washer would be a problem here in Kansas. It frequently get cold enough during the winter that the inexpensive washer fluids freezes solid. You have to use the stuff that has enough alcohol that it doesn't freeze near zero.

You guys who just top off continually. Do you leave your bedroom windows open in the summer? I know my brother always topped.off, but he never opens his while mine are open unless the a/c is on or it is down to 20 F or less. Mold spores blown around are my only concern. Maybe it's an unnecessary concern?
