Resmed Airsense 10 time to return to low pressure setting

Resmed Airsense 10 time to return to low pressure setting
Hi,

I started using a CPAP (Resmed Airsense 10) a week ago. I have been monitoring my sleep with Oscar and I have narrow down the pressure range on my 95% which helped with my AHI. I have raised my humidity level and it seem to help with the nasal inflammation.

I'm still trying to figure out why I have so much brain fog/memory lost using the CPAP. I'm a bit annoyed by how long it take for the Resmed Airsense 10 to return low pressure setting after an event. I feel like the my brain fog could be associated with how long it remains at high pressure after an event. My Dad also suffer from sleep apnea and he had to switch CPAP machine for this exact reason.

Is there anyway to change the return to low pressure time setting in the Resmed?

I have attached my latest chart from Oscar.

Pressure: 6 to 12
EPR: 2

Your Cpap machine raises pressure when it finds flow limits.  Flow limits are the smallest apnea and resmed increases pressure when it find some to stop them from becoming larger.

Try this and see if it helps

Make sure your EPR is on full time and
EPR is set to 3

Set the min to 8

I’m sure this will help with your problem

Thank you for your reply

I understand what you mean, but looking at the charts, it looks like the CPAP machine stay high pressure long after flow limits are back to normal...

I will give your setting recommandations a run tonight and post the results tomorrow. Hopefully it will help with the brain fog.

Quite a few users of CPAP will seem to feel more tired when first starting therapy. Why exactly I'm not sure.

This therapy is going to take an investment in your time to remedy damage of some years worth of Apnea. It's not resolved in a week. In fact, CPAP therapy is a long term treatment plan not a cure.

Regardless, there's several aspects of therapy to get adjusted to. Mask, pressures, humidity, noise, and then getting used to sleeping with the mask while under the light CPAP air pressures.
