Vicks VapoRub

Anyone using vapoRub with their cpap?  I find a dime size amount on a small piece of paper towel placed in dry water chamber helps me breathe easier and I like the fragrance. In a high humidity area, I only use distilled water and humidity occasionally during cold low humidity winter months. I have not used vaporRub yet when using water/humidity.

I think you'd be better off putting a little on a cotton ball and placing it near the intake of the machine, rather than actually in the reservoir.

I myself wouldn't put Vicks in the humidifier. I use mine to humidity, so there's that difference. I'd consider the cotton ball with Vicks at the intake before I'd put it in the humidifier tub. This applies when the tub is dry, and even more when water is present and the humidifier is on.

I would sooner apply to toe tips, and/or finger tips, which are sinus points for acupressure. I don't think I would put in my air stream.

I know a hard working, long lived guy that ate the stuff a few times a day.. big two finger swipe thru the large format tub, and down she goes. I never got curious enough to try it.
