Where to buy a machine?
I was diagnosed with sleep apnea about a year and a half ago and after arguing with my CPAP supply company and insurance about rental fees etc I want to look into just buying my own machine but... where do I go? There are so many websites and I just dont know who to trust. Any help would be appreciated!

RE: Where to buy a machine?
Supplier #2 has sold a few Apnea Board members lightly used PAP machines for good prices lately. You could try them. I do recommend that you look at the ResMed machines first as they treat apnea better with a more comfortable therapy than all others including Respironics.

ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A PHYSICIAN BEFORE SEEKING TREATMENT FOR MEDICAL CONDITIONS, INCLUDING SLEEP APNEA. RE: Where to buy a machine?
I totally agree with Dave. I purchased a "used" machine from Supplier #2 from the suppliers list at the top of the page. Second Wind is a great company with great prices. The machine I got only had a month use and still that the clear plastic covering the screen. And I also agree that the Resmed machines are the best for our use. They almost always give the best treatment with the least adjustments and the people on this site know how to set them up very well. They also sell well priced new machines.

RE: Where to buy a machine?
I third the motion! Supplier #2 worked with me to get me a decent used ResMed machine. My experience with them was both professional and very positive.

RE: Where to buy a machine?
I went down the road of buying a new machine. The only thing they needed was a copy of the prescription. Very positive experience. And most importantly...No 4hr compliance checks from the insurance company.
