Where to upload zip file for a new model Resmed?
#11
RE: Where to upload zip file for a new model Resmed?
I travel for a living (pilot) and import my data every 6 months. I have a DreamStation Go and then another unit at my house. My DreamStation Go I've had since like 2019. I went to go upload my data from my DreamStation Go today and OSCAR asked for an update. I did an update and then it said it could no longer read my DreamStation Go data. It said developers need a ZIP file. So I created one and uploaded it to the DropBox link above.

What happens next? How long will I have to wait? Is there anything I can do to accelerate the process? What caused this problem?

Thanks!

Hi CaptainDave! - Welcome
It's not that simple. The OSCAR team are a bunch of volunteers that work on the code as time permits. What version were you using, that worked, prior to updating OSCAR? Also, what O/S are you using?

I'm not sure what the previous version was, but I'm on Windows 11 pro 64 bit and now using OSCAR 1.5.3

Send me a PM if you can determine what your previous version was, and I'll send you a copy of it. This will also provide me a guide as to the code difference.

RE: Where to upload zip file for a new model Resmed?
CaptainDave,

The issue is that OSCAR detected an generated the following warning and then exited.
No properties file found in ".../P-SERIES/24911338"

The property file .../P-SERIES/24911338/PROP.TXT was present but empty.
There was an old property file .../P-SERIES/24911338/PROP.BAK with correct data.

The PROP.BAK was COPIED to PROP.TXT and the issue disappeared and all was normal.

Conclusion: OSCAR detected an error condition.
An error message to the user might have been a better response.
In any case an error report was generated and was in the error log.
The old version of OSCAR would also behave the same.

A backup file is typically created when a file is being modified (either by the user or by the device).
How could an empty PROP.TXT be generate on the sdcard?

How was the sdcard image generated?

Hmmm I just pulled it out of the DreamStationGo and put it in the computer.

It has worked just fine before. I do this about every 6 months or so.

What do I need to do?

Another Philips user had a similar problem. It turned out the PROP.TXT file was either empty or corrupt. Take a look at yours to rule this out. LoudSnorer was able to locate a PROP.BAK file and renamed it in order for it to work again.
