RE: Wood burning stoves
Smoke affects people differently.
I grew up with a wood stove
Currently live in a place with a wood stove.
Where I am at now, I hate the wood stove. 2 story. stove pipe exits the house on the first floor, goes up the side of the house to the roof and vent cap. the problem is, all that exposed exterior pipe makes starting a fire a major PITA. Have to fight against all that cold air inside the stove pipe. Usually ends up with a house full of smoke unless I turn on the fan on the swamp cooler to pressurize the house.
landlady has been talking the last 3 years of replacing it with a pellet stove.
another option is propane but I would think it would be much more expensive to operate.
