Woofer777 - OSCAR Analysis
#61
RE: Woofer777 - OSCAR Analysis
I have another update to report based on testing different settings.  The last 7 days at 12/2 has provided the best results so far of any settings.  Within those 7 days, 1 day was a bad sleep night that I can't really attribute to any one thing except I felt "off" physically and mentally before even going to bed.  I've listed the  7 day average both with the bad sleep night results and without.

C =  5.2   O = 1.2    H = 1.6   R= .2    AHI = 8.2     7 day ave at 12/2
C =  4.5   O =   .6    H = 1.5   R= .2    AHI = 6.7     6 day ave at 12/2 without worst night

I've attached screenshot of last night which has been typical of the 12/2 results.

My conclusions with the 12/2 settings are:
1.  Results  have been consistent night to night
2. I can tolerate the fixed 12 setting without issues.  ( however, one night I had to switch back to fixed 10 during the night as I was not able to breath without getting panic feeling - this has only happened twice in the last couple months)
3. High centrals have been present with all various testing settings.
4. Obstructive events are lower with EPR at 2 vs 3.
5. Other than one bad night, I felt like I got a decent night sleep every night.

Further testing is likely going to be with pressures above 12, as I have pretty much tested most combinations of pressure and EPR at lower levels.  I am reluctant to go much higher on fixed pressure for comfort reasons.  Would a range now make sense to try?  12-13 / 2  or 12-14/ 2 ?

I'm satisfied with results as they are except to lower centrals and see how noticeable an effect on how I feel during the day that is.

One last comment, with reference to the screenshot attached, would a deeper dive into the event periods make sense now that most "noise" has been eliminated compared to how my data used to look?   Looking to see what conclusions might be drawn now, and if the centrals are all valid, etc.   If so, I will attach various screenshots as requested.

Yeah you can try a range to compare against 12/2. 12-13 doesn't do much so I would say 12-14 or 12-15 as an initial test. You could then try a lower min (10 or 11), with a range you don't usually need to use as high of a pressure.
