any clue what this is?

i found a very lightly used aircuve 10 last week locally, but it came with this tube/connector in it. the seller was handling the sale for an elderly family member that couldn't use pap.

i don't know what it would be used for. my guess is that they may have needed additional oxygen entered into the circuit, but that's just a guess.

does anyone know what this is?
