When I used the Wisp I taped my mouth but would never suggest to tape a full face mask, especially if you are using the humidifier as the tape can get moist, and become loose in the mask. That would definitely be a chocking hazard. Also since the Dr. Dakota doesn't have padding in the back I cut a tube sock and placed it around the back straps for extra comfort. The Velcro is tough but you can reinforce the thread for a easy solution. (easy if you can sew) That price is high for e-bay. Think Canada raised the import tax on it? Huhsign

If you go to DR Dakota's webpage, you'll see the collars he sells there all have pull over fabric in the back. There is even a youtube video of how to put it on and pull the cover once connected. I'm not sure why the Amazon Elliminator is so different than the ones sold on the actual website?

I've got one coming from the actual website.

RE: dry mouth
My Dr D... has been shipped. I got notice of it from ebay.
I'll understand better when I get it.

My take is that the tapered shape is more likely to keep my jaw closed and extended than anything else I've seen. I saw an independent video review done by the Lanky Lefty on youtube. He has a channel there. He is a sleep tech, and has his own forum.

I bought and tried one of the sleep aids sold on Amazon to make airplane sleep more comfortable. It was no good at all for my use--preventing mouth breathing by keeping my jaw closed.

I truly appreciate your posts and comments.

Thanks.

RE: dry mouth
Satfrat, The Eliminator also has the pull over cover. I have a rather large neck and it is a chore to cover over the two Velcro straps and that is why I added the sock in back. I also used the other half over the front, as I only have to throw it in the wash and don't get their cover dirty.

Just my 1st week into all this but I've been all over the internet. To me, the Eliminator looks like a totally different beast than what Dr Dakota has on his website. In fact there is no Eliminator listed there. I know little more than that.

But for a sock recommendation, I have a good one. It's Cushee triple knit socks. I've had foot neuropathy for over 20 years now and I swear by these socks for their thickness and probably comfort if I could feel them. 1 of the thickest socks on the market and fairly priced to boot at their Cushiee website. They don't sweat either like cotton socks. Just a thought,,,

DaveL, Commercial Link Removed.
Amazon (US)
sells to Canadians, no problem.
One of the Dakota Eliminator listings states:
Price: $17.97 + $16.38 Shipping & Import Fees Deposit to Canada

I had an account I activated it again. The item I found didn't ship to Canada.

RE: dry mouth
I was confused with the change in names. I expect my eBay Dr Dakota soon. I'll compare it to the Eliminator when I get it.
Thanks
