ok, my first night...

RE: ok, my first night...
I'll second the sage advice Herb has given you. Without hesitation I recommend a pillows mask. When I started I thought there was no way in the world with my chronically-stuffy nose I would be able to use a pillows mask. My sleep clinic guru's agreed with that assessment. But then Herb got his P10, and began to proselytize for it. I got to thinking: If Herb can make it work, why can't I? (I mean, Herb and I are very much alike. We both have a full head of hair for instance. Granted, he keeps his in the closet, but no mind..) Anyhow I got the P10 and by gum Herb was right!! I would not dream of going to anything other than a pillows mask. In my case I do use a chinstrap, gently applied, to encourage my jaw to stay forward and therefor allowing my mouth to stay shut.

Herb's the guy.

Ok, I pulled the trigger, my trigger because of my non california care for swift L nasal pillows.

Welcome Wrangler, you are the man for working so hard at this. Pillows are the greatest for me also so much less hardware on your face. Main difference between the swift xl and the P10 they are talking about is the vent that releases the air. On the swift it is a noticeable stream of air that if you block or close to you will hear and feel it. P10 has some magic diffuser that you almost can not feel. Either works well though.
There has been good advice so far s keep reading ( that Becker dude can write a comment, good job) As they say get to where you can narrow that pressure setting, at least the lower setting. Keep up the good work.
Good Luck!

Test. It is kind of frustrating to be limited to 7 posts
Night 2:
I changed my order to the P10s. I also brought max pressure down to 12. Last night:
Pressure 8.6
AHI 3.
Leak 55
Min pressue 4
Max 12
Epr is off (default value)
Run hits? 24

I cut a liner out of a t shirt for tonight and will probaby raise the min pressue to 5

Sounds like a good plan to me Wrangler. The liner should help get the leak number down, which hopefully will drop your ahi even lower.

That should work until you get going with your P10. Good choice that.

There are still a few folks around here that don't use the P10. But it's just a matter of time. "Resistance is futile."
