How can I get the computer software for resmed s8 escape ll ?

I believe the Escape model only has summary information.  ResScan should be able to connect to the special smart card reader required for the S8.   The smart card reader may be difficult to find.  ResScan is only available for Windows platforms, using XP or newer.

Hi, brianthesufan, welcome to ApneaBoard!

I have an Escape II and had the same interest.  Sadly, Crimson Nape has the current poop: the type of SD card that ResMed used was not widely used and are difficult to find.  Worse, I have had no success trying to find a reader.  I used that machine for over six years and would dearly love to get the last data files off it.

Perhaps you can bring it in to your sleep center and get them to download the data for you; it seems a reasonable request and I'm confident that mine would have done it for me.

Bottom line is that the S8 is not data capable, and trying to get the data is not worthwhile. Time to update to a modern and better machine.

I'd also throw out my 2-cents and say your machine is very old and it would be worth it to invest in a newer one.  The new machines offer much better therapy and if you choose wisely, you'll have one you can extract data from and use with PC software like #SleepyHead or ResScan [forum login required].
