RE: Nasal irrigation
There's no downsides to nasal irrigation.

I'm not entirely sure what products are available in the US but most important this is to use fresh, warm boiled water. You need to add salt. In my country nasal irrigation kits come with two types of salt concentration: 0.9% NaCl and 3% NaCl. You want to use 0.9% NaCl. You could add table salt (0.9 grams to 100 grams of water) but keep in mind that it won't be sterile anymore.

RE: Nasal irrigation
I don't worry about sterile.  I just use warm tap water and have had no problems for all these years.

Erasing data on machine
I came across a video online that suggested that I have to change the time zone on my Airsense 11 CPAP device. This is because of Daylight savings time.   the video instructed me that in order to change to correct time zone, I needed   to erase stored data on machine since I have a back up on my SD card of all data from machine.  I proceeded to follow these steps and then panic set in--- I am half way through compliance period with new  insurance company and I came across earlier post that stated insurance company goes by physical storage on machine.   Is there anyone out there that can help reassure me that My last 6 1/2 weeks of consistent use will be counted?  I have all the statistics on my SD card and it shows compliance, etc.    I don't want to pay for the machine out pocket when I have been faithfully using it and mad a stupid mistake of erasing the data on the machine.

You could ask your supplier what they have downloaded already. Tell them what happened and see if they can help.

The AS11 does present a problem with the time setting. Since when you use the CPAP is not important, but how much you use it is, I would leave it alone. Anyway, in 6 months it will be correct again. Also, I highly recommend that you back up the SD card to a dedicated directory on your PC. SD cards can go bad at a moment's notice.

RE: Nasal irrigation
I use Ayr packets with their bottle. I use tap water (we have a spring). My wife had a massive nose bleed and the doc recommended a pre-made saline bottle. Since she needed just a simple squirt, it worked great.

I use the rinse during allergy season and sometimes in the winter if it gets too dry.

There's not really a down side as long as you use saline either in packet you add to water or an already mixed solution. Using just regular water will burn like the beejeebus (I accidentally forgot the packet once).

RE: Erasing data on machine
You can adjust time Forward without erasing data, with limitations, best done after 12:00 noon, before you use the macchine, get into your clinicians menu go to Time settings and adjust as necessary

Going back in the fall you may have better luck waiting past noon by several hours, without using the machine for therapy, once you record usage data you can not go back into that time.

Should be able to find detailed information in your "Clinicians Manual"

RE: Erasing data on machine
The OP is using an AS11. It doesn't play by the same rules for setting the time as the AS10. The AS11 uses a timezone setting and requires a total reset to change it.
