[split] FYSETC SD Wifi - Possible FlashAir Replacement
RE: [split] FYSETC SD Wifi - Possible FlashAir Replacement
@Red,

Thanks for taking the time to clarify, I am certainly interested in your results. Will buy one the second you say its workable. Probably won't go with the pro version unless it will be necessary for updating firmware in the future. I don't picture myself going down the Wifi SD card development route, just a user.

You don't have a choice. The one you listed will not work, due to the power requirements. I am hoping that the Pro model will need less power, since it uses smaller components. Also, it won't require cutting out around the card slot on the CPAP to allow it to fit.

If you haven't, I suggest that you read this thread from the beginning. It may provide a little more insight on this project.

@Red,

I was under the impression, that since there was a "Pro" version that included the development board that there was a version of the newer card that wasn't "Pro" that didn't include the developers board. I'm not an idiot. I left the one I listed behind several posts ago and it was quite clear we are talking about the newer version.

Just wondering how the new version went. did it end up working or still not enough power? I just ordered mine off amazon and it's supposed to get here tomorrow (I can return it if it ends up not working). Any help/suggestions on the setup would be appreciated as well.

Will update once I have it in hand and setup...

RE: [split] FYSETC SD Wifi - Possible FlashAir Replacement
I ran into a connection problem on all my computer platforms (2-Windows and 2-Linux). The problem was not recognizing the programming port, but only the SD card itself. FYSETC had no idea. Since the card is relatively inexpensive, I ordered a 2nd one to see if it was the card or the programming board. I experienced the same problem when it arrived. The only thing that was common to all units, was the 2.0 USB/USB-C cable. I switched this cable to a 3.0 USB/USB-C one, and it now connects. Oddly enough, FYSETC's documentation states a USB 2.0 connection. . . Go figure!!!

Since this occurred just minutes before this post, It will be a few more days before my schedule allows some serious time with this little puppy. I will update as soon as I am able to determine its capability.

I just got home from camping for the weekend (New battery worked amazingly!) but I'm so glad you posted your solution to that issue, cause I was getting the same thing and was going nuts trying to figure it out before I left. Glad to hear it's such a simple solution for that bit at least.

I'll update as I find anything out on my end.

I'm still having issues getting the card setup. I can't finish installing the Git files...keep getting permission errors. Solving them one at a time. Maybe I've specified the wrong board or something? (I have denky_D4 selected currently)

Edit: In case it's not obvious I'm pretty new to Git and such...lol

RE: [split] FYSETC SD Wifi - Possible FlashAir Replacement
I've been spending time getting it setup but haven't gotten it fully working. To update the firmware, I followed the guide on this GitHub repo:

https://github.com/FYSETC/SdWiFiBrowser#...ifi-proswp

Once that was done, I was able to switch the card reader into wifi mode and see the "SD-WIFI-PRO-RD" access point connected. I connected my browser to 192.168.4.1 and was able to connect to the card. I then hit settings, choose wifi, and put in my network info. The card connected to the WiFi and I was able to access it through the IP my router assigned it.

I was able to transfer data to the SD card and my AirSense 10 read it and was able to write to it. The card also connected to my wifi while in the AirSense and i was able to browse to the IP. I don't think the WebDAV connection works in this card yet. I read through the product listing and found this:

Quote:Firmware support: Web Server /ESP3D, WebDav (under development)

I did read through the GitHub for the SD-WIFI card and tried connecting and configured it through the serial port and was never able to get anything working.

I think this card has a lot of promise but without WebDAV support it can't work as a good replacement for the FlashAir.

I was finally able to update the card...however when I put it in my machine it started having an issue showing there was a SD card error and to remove the card...it shows this with or without a SD card inserted. I'll have to talk to the supplier about getting it fixed tomorrow sadly.

RE: [split] FYSETC SD Wifi - Possible FlashAir Replacement
Is this effort stalled? I got my wifi Pro and plugged it in to my AS10... it's recording data on it... I can attach to it with wifi... and I get the browser screen where uploading and downloading can happen. The moment I ask for a download I get a blank progress bar, then nothing... if I try any other buttons on the page it says "sd card is busy".

I can see the files... they have last night's data on them... but I can't download them. This is a clunky way to do it, but it's 'hello world' time, so no big deal. Eventually I'll want to map the network drive and just point Oscar at it. But first... 'hello world'.

Should I be able to do this without any coding? I was able to use the dev board to find the IP address 192.168.4.1, I assume that's the default. I'm not finding any newer threads on this, hence my query. It has so much promise! The AS10 C2C is on sale for very cheap right now, good time for this mod to work.
