what happened to the quality?

I ran into some settings issued, and ended up switching a lot of things around, uninstalled and reinstalled oscar, etc. The quality of the graph is noticeably worse. I thought this would resolve by changing from the default graphics engine. Angle/Open GLES renders the same quality. When I select 'software engine' it bugs out and I can't even see the graph. The furthest I can go is click on the profile, which opens but not viewably, if that makes sense. That is, the screen is more or less frozen, and I can see that when I hover my mouse around the screen where the regular layout is, the pop-up boxes show through. Pics related

How can I make the resolution good again?

Just tagging along on this one. Interested in how to get the finer look of the graph back also.

It seems like a lot of people are facing the same problem. There's a thread on reverting to version 1.4, which of course restores the resolution.
