Help with pressures airsence 10 - wr61 - 03-10-2022 [attachment=40636][attachment=40636][attachment=40635] Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with my settings? Sorry, My first time. Pressure 8-20 moved minimum to 14. RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - Gideon - 03-10-2022 You are having a good-sized positional apnea problem. Positional in that you are likely tucking your chin. NO amount of pressure in any form will fix this. Look at your pillow situation, use 1 vs 2 pillows, think flatter/ less firm, maybe a buckwheat pillow. Many address this issue with a soft cervical collar, see the link in my signature. The bottom line is that when you get and keep your neck straightened for the night those clusters of obstructive events will disappear. RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - Sleeprider - 03-10-2022 The characteristic flag of what we call positional apnea or chin-tucking is the clustering of obstructive events. Read these wiki articles and you will see we deal with this all the time. It is one of the most common problems we encounter, and we have even worked with a member that was on a full Trilogy ventilator that was able to resolve his apnea with a soft cervical collar and tested free of sleep disordered breathing! Read these two wiki articles and we will pick this up and solve the problem. I will try a collar. Now on to those Centrals, lol . RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - wr61 - 03-11-2022 attachment=40655][attachment=40655][attachment=40655][Took the advice . I hugged a small pillow that fit under my chin and fewer cluster OA's Bellow pic. Bought a soft collar this morning . Will ware tonight . Anyone else see anything in my data to improve? Learning a lot on here. RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - PurpleOx - 03-12-2022 Hi wr61, On March 10, your large leaks are corresponding almost exactly to the obstructive apneas. It's as if your small pillow was pushing your FFM away from your face as your chin dropped in positional apnea. Hopefully the soft collar will provide better results. RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - wr61 - 03-12-2022 This morning first night soft collar results. Anything else I can do about these centrals. I went from 28 to 30 mins in apnea down to 4 min! All feedback welcome , Thank You! I was ready to go back to the Trilogy 100. lol attachment=40664] RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - OpalRose - 03-12-2022 Great improvement with the collar. Lowering the EPR "may" clean up some clear airways events. But... know that by lowering EPR, you may find that the Flow Limitations will increase. I wouldn't make a major change, but try EPR 2 and see how it looks. RE: Help with pressures airsence 10 - wr61 - 03-12-2022 Does flow restrictions mean it will be harder to exhale, how will I know? Thanks again everyone ! |
