DreamStation 2 Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - Wizard99 - 09-04-2023 During the last couple of weeks, I've found my Dream Station 2 is generating inflated quantity's of "Disconnects" .... What should be 2-4 correctly documented per night, I'm seeing 13+ recorded. It's an intermittent issue that I've yet to track down the cause. Power is stable.. no loose connections was my first thought. I've been using a FlashAir card successfully for 7 months now without a problem... always been reliable. The problem is not isolated it seems to Oscar, as the Android DreamMapper on my mobile reports the same faulty "Disconnects"... Is the issue with this model CPAP noticed by anyone else as I could not find any links related to this. Could the SD FlashAir Card be corrupting the data? OSCAR only displays what your CPA is reporting. Do you have the Auto Start and Stop option on? If so, this could be your problem child. - Red RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - SuperSleeper - 09-04-2023 Yep, probably due to your Auto On/Off setting on the CPAP. Unfortunately, that's set to "On" by default, and only your doctor or DME can change that to "Off", via their Care Orchestrator software, which is only available to verified health care providers (DMEs and doctors, etc). See this thread-- likely the same issue: https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-Oscar-is-dividing-up-the-time-period RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - ekirtz - 09-04-2023 I'm having the same problem....in fact we both posted about it today! Please keep us posted as to finding a resolution to this....I will do the same! I wonder if there has been some sort of firmware update that has been pushed through that has made this happen. Sudden changes that seem random - when these changes happen to numerous people around the same time it begins to look less "random". As a new member I cannot post a link to my thread until I have 4 posts - but it is under "dreamstation 2 shuts off every hour" if you want to compare notes. E RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - Jeff8356 - 09-04-2023 The link to ekirtz post in the main forum is here: https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-Dreamstation-2-shuts-off-every-hour?pid=485455#pid485455 RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - Wizard99 - 09-05-2023 Thanks all for responding and identifying its not an isolated case. The fact the wrong identical data is pushed to both DreamMapper and the independent OSCAR confirms that. There's likely more out there with the issue, their just are not checking the available charts as we do. Regarding Auto Start: I've always used it as I'm up 2-4 times for a break and I find it's convenient to start with a few breaths after settling back in. RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - Wizard99 - 09-05-2023 I've contacted Respironics and logged a Ticket that I'm told will (hopefully) be sent to the Engineers for review.... Since my DS2 (2nd warranty replacement) was supplied by Phillips, I was not referred to a DME. I'll contact my Kaiser Pulmonary office and see if they will also push this issue up the chain.... The rep at Respironics shared that if it is a Firmware issue, I would need to bring the CPAP in for the update to a DME, as currently Firmware Updates cannot be performed "Over the Air".... RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - staceyburke - 09-05-2023 It is usually the auto on/off. This should be able to turn off in the clinician menu RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - Crimson Nape - 09-05-2023 Stacey - Unlike us Resmed users, Philips chose to keep that out of the hands of the user. . . Go figure! - Red RE: Oscar Session Info - Phantom Disconnects - Lucky7 - 09-05-2023 Okay, so... It was doing it on v1.0.0 Had machine upgraded to v1.0.7 It still does it. Just FYSA. It's maddening. |
