Software support for the Astral 150? - Peashee888 - 02-09-2024

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I just switched to an astral 150 and I can't find software support for the astral. Does anyone else use the Astral 150 and know what kind of software I can use to look at my data? I appreciate anyone's help, thanks

Welcome to Apnea Board,

There's not going to be much available unfortunately. The ventilator class is somewhat restricted to professional reports like AirView, which if I recall correctly would require registration through the doctor and DME. I don't think this is a free service. Further, to enable the Astral to send the reports, an approximate $410 module called ResMed Connectivity Module (RCM) is required. It sounds like a bridge from the Astral to the AirView network.

The alternative is to view the reports on the Astral.

Thank you for your answer. I can see the graphs on the astral, but I was hoping to see the spontaneous triggers and cycles because on my last machine I was having issues with that. My rt is coming today to reconfigure some settings, so I will talk to her about it further. Thanks again!

Hi Peashee888! - Welcome
According Resmed, you can use ResScan. To obtain a copy, please gt to Private File and Links. Look for the ResScan thread. Carefully read the instructions on how to obtain a copy.

We see your model so infrequently that it is unknown if OSCAR will read its data. You could always try. The worst thing that can happen is OSCAR will not recognize the data.

Perhaps there's special file structure...
There's a USB A slot on the rear for capturing files.
Also a smaller USB for this RCM connection.

Thank you, one of my friends also told me rescan should work, so I plan on trying it.
Some others that I know who have an astral told me Oscar doesn't work, so that is unfortunate. I appreciate your response, thanks again

Maybe if that USB allows collection of sleep data via a USB stick, Gideon and OSCAR crew might be interested in it. Assuming it's something they can access.

I'd forgotten about ResScan myself.

There is a USB port on the back, but I have not tried to pull data from it yet. I wanted to see if I would even be able to read data with anything yet.

I dump the USB data from my Astral 150 every time I have a pulmonologist appt.  The med co does not use the remote device so I dump it via usb and email them the zip.  They run the report and send my dr and me copies via email.

If anyone wants one for testing.. just let me know...

Thanks for the info. I may be needing Astral myself at some point.
