Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Fixit50 - 07-01-2024 This morning, I attempted to upload data from my SD Card to Oscar. The last time this was done was May 25 a bit more than a month ago. Oscar is not showing any graph data for this upload! I’ve been using Oscar for years and never had this problem. There is a recent post on a similar subject, but I’m starting a new post because my details are a little different. My SD Card is always in the machine unless I’m uploading data. I ejected the card and closed Oscar and repeated the upload operation. Now graphs appeared for last night, June 30 only. The rest of that month period is still absent graphs. I looked at my SD card and the daily directories contain several MB each so I think the data was placed there by the machine as normal. I attached a screen shot to show how one of the nights with no graphs is presented by Oscar. I have a Windows File History Backup, so if it would help, I could replace the Oscar Data directory (in users/…/Documents/Oscar??) and try the upload again. I’d rather not do that kind of operation without some expert guidance, as I don’t really know the intricacies of Oscar workings. I’d like to get Oscar to display the past months data and correct the problem for the future. Can anyone help with this? [attachment=66444] RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Crimson Nape - 07-01-2024 This could be early signs that your SD card is going bad. I would try using a new card first to see if that corrects the problem. - Red RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Fixit50 - 07-01-2024 Thanks red. Does this mean there is no real way to recover the graphs that are missing from the last month? RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Narcil - 07-01-2024 since you said you can see files with actual data inside the directories try to copy the data off the sd card and see what happens. if you can get the data off you can import it. might take a few tries or something. RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Crimson Nape - 07-01-2024 I'd try Narcil's recommendation first. SD cards are known to go bad in an instant. For this reason, I recommend (and use) a dedicated backup directory on my PC. That way, if the card goes south, you will have only lost the detailed data between the last backup and now. Summary data is stored internally and will be written to the new card the first time it is installed in the CPAP. Additionally, you can use this dedicated directory to import the data into OSCAR. This allows the importing of data to be a complete different process from using OSCAR. - Red RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Fixit50 - 07-01-2024 These are good ideas. Thanks. Here’s what I did. First I did a windows file check on the mounted SD Card. It checked good and no errors were found. Then I copied all data from the SD Card to a directory on an internal HDD called “D:/Oscar SD Card.” Removed the SD Card and pointed Oscar to upload from “D:/Oscar SD Card.” It found no new data and reported the following splash: [attachment=66458] So, I'm thinking the SD Card is probably good (at least for the moment), I took it to one of my older computers that has an ancient installation of sleepyhead on it. I imported directly from the SD Card and all the data and graphs imported correctly and I can see it all! So I think I have good data on the SD Card and on my HDD at D:/Oscar SD Card. Oscar probably won’t import it cause it thinks its already done that. Any suggestions based on this new information? What about the idea I posited in the 3rd paragraph of my OP? Would this trick Oscar into doing the import again? RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Crimson Nape - 07-01-2024 By chance did you import data before you completed using CPAP for that day? OSCAR logs the date as it imports data the first time it sees a new day. If you come back later and try to load more data for that day, OSCAR will pass over it. You will need to purge the data for a day that you are experiencing problems. Then try reimporting your SD card again. - Red RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Fixit50 - 07-01-2024 Nope. Didn't do that. Stopped the machine this morning and a few hours later I did an import that was the first import done in a little over a month. Is all of Oscar data confined to C:\Users\UN\Documents\OSCAR_Data ?? If so, I should be able to erase all of it and replace with a backup I have that was made just a few weeks ago and then import the last months data again with the hope that it will work this time. Thoughts? I think Oscar is skipping over the last months data now, since it has already imported settings, and session start and end times, or what it calls "summary data" for that period. RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Crimson Nape - 07-01-2024 A Resmed A10 series stores 365 days of summary data, 30 days of detailed data and 30 sessions of high-resolution data on the SD card. If it has been over 30 days since your last import, that is the reason it is missing. - Red RE: Graphs Not Displayed in Oscar - Fixit50 - 07-01-2024 Thanks for the info. However, it imported fine to Sleepyhead from the same SD Card as seen in post #6 above. Seems that limitation would keep all but summary data off of the SD Card. But we know that is not the case. Maybe I'm missing something or don't understand or ?? |
