I had received a DS2 to replace my old System One, and my insurance covered a new AirSense 11 earlier this year. The AirSense 11 is far superior to any Philips machine, so that’s my home unit, and I use the DS2 for travel. It’s not too much bigger to carry than the DS Go was, a little thicker plus the power brick. So far it’s working for me. We received a reconditioned DS1 and new DS2 as our bedside replacements from Phillips. They're currently both on a closet shelf. However, we are planning to donate them to a charity organization in the future. As you, we find our AS11 units to be far superior. Our immediate travel solution was the purchase of spare 110V adapters to make things easier. Our AS11 units pack straight into our suitcases quite easily, they really aren't a major inconvenience. Of course, true travel units are preferred for a few different reasons. Hopefully, ResMed will release a redesign of the Mini, accommodating the Freedom series of masks. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - chasmm - 09-22-2024 I saw a post on FB that said the portal had been updated re: Go machines. Here's what it says now: You have elected to receive an Auto-adjusting CPAP as a replacement device In the fall of 2024, Philips Respironics will begin to ship DreamStation Go replacement devices. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - Tampa Jim - 09-22-2024 Philips ain't worth cussing over. Terrible company. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - Phaleronic - 09-22-2024 They build better machines than Resmed does unfortunately/ RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - chasmm - 10-10-2024 A FB user in California has reported receiving an "apparently new" DS Go. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - chasmm - 11-01-2024 The most recent update from the portal regarding my DS Go replacement: Your order is now being processed. We estimate that your replacement device will be shipped 12-12-2024. However, due to the volume of orders and supply constraints, it is possible that this timing may change. If this happens, we will update you through the Patient Portal and via email. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - jannae2 - 11-04-2024 I just received my Philips Respironics Dreamstation Go replacement 11/2/2024, however I was unable to pair it with Dreammapper until I contacted the Dreammapper Support line. It looks like my original and works very similarly. I have only uses Philips Respironics CPAPs since 1994. I continue to be a very satisfied customer. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - chasmm - 11-05-2024 I received my replacement Dreamstation Go yesterday. This was 1,236 days after I registered it in the recall...so about 3 1/2 years. It is a new unit with a date of 2024-09-26, and has 0 hours on the machine and blower. It came as just the unit itself, no covers, no power cord, and included only the filter. I am not planning on sending the old machine back since I'm hanging onto my recalled machines as-is. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - ItsAllInMyHead - 11-05-2024 I finally received my DreamStation Go replacement device today, 1171 days after first registering my recalled device. Cosmetically it appears to be a new device, however the date of manufacture is 2023-07-27, which was over 15 months ago. For now I won't be returning the old device as instructed, but I may rethink that decision after I've pondered it for 1171 days or so. The fine print in the return instructions laughably warns that "Failure to return your original device to Philips could result in your being billed for payment of that device, as you now have two devices, but have only paid for one device." That's pretty rich considering that Philips left me hanging without a usable replacement device for over 3 years. RE: DreamStation Go Recall [consolidated replacement & compensation info & questions] - Tampa Jim - 11-05-2024 "Failure to return your original device to Philips could result in your being billed for payment of that device, as you now have two devices, but have only paid for one device." But won't since the court order reads otherwise. |
