RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Abdulfakih - 10-25-2024

Good morning guys. I now have the vauto settings and I can modify the pressure. What should I try now?

RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Sleeprider - 10-25-2024

Hopefully your version of the Vauto has the setting for trigger sensitivity. Let's pick up where you left off using the Vauto:
Mode: Vauto
EPAP min: 5.8
Max IPAP 9.4
PS: 3.0
Trigger Sensitivity: Very High
Cycle Sensitivity: Medium
Ti Max: 2.8
Ti Min: 0.3

Hi Sleeprider,

Yes it does have pressure sensitivity. I have the data from yesterday and some of the settings (that i entered with CHATGPT help) are very similar to what you suggested, so I have data to show.

Perhaps it might shed some light?

In this case you were only using PS 1, and other settings are not available to see in the chart.  In order to stimulate a breath with very -high trigger there needs to be enough PS that you feel it when it triggers.   This appears to be EPAP min 5.6, Max IPAP 8.0, PS 1, and that is not a fair representation of my suggestion above.

Good morning Sleep rider,

After putting your settings CA are completely gone, I am impressed by these results.

I do however feel a bit bad, like afwul. My head hurts a bit. These were my results:

The results are impressive, and I think you need to give it more time. Please be sure to minimize the monthly calendar so the settings can show up. The 95% flow limits have dropped to 0.03 and it's good to see that central apnea have resolved as well as very low events through the night.  If you want, we can try fixed pressure...your choice.

Yes the results seem promising, however I dont want to put my hopes up because I had similar results when i lowered the pressure on cpap mode to 8, however it only lasted for like 2 days (https://imgur.com/a/KZuDrFH) , idk why.

Regarding if I should do fixed pressure or not, well I honestly have no clue. I trust your judgement, specially with vauto mode since I have virtually no knowledge on what I did yesterday. What do you suggest?

RE: Abdulfakih - Therapy Thread - Sleeprider - 10-27-2024

I'm going to hold off for a day, then increase PS to 3.4, and leave everything else the same.

Good morning sleeprider,

Here are the results from last night https://imgur.com/a/K6g0Tmr

This is how Im feeling:

1) I feel like it is easier to breathe with the CPAP. I dont feel like the pressure is overwhelming like it was before, so I can handle it.
2) I did wakeup at 3am and I just had to take the mask off, I just got "Tired" of it.
3) I honestly wokeup like a car ran me over, I feel tired and i have am feeling dizzy (could be because I am doing intermitent fasting and stomach acid could be doing that)
4) I dont have a headache but I feel like it could happen at any point today.
5) I wont pay too much attention to it but my apple watch showed my a lot of awakenings during the night.

All in all, although I dont feel my best, the data shows progress.

What do you think?
