Hi OpalRose, That is very interesting. It is well-known that, with some patients, limiting the top pressure will lower the number of central events which occur. Theoretically, however, raising the pressure should tend to reduce RERA, because true RERA events (true Respiratory Effort-Related Arousal events) are obstructive in type. I suspect your machine was mistaking some central almost-but-not-quite-hypopnea caused arousals for RERA-caused arousals. Congratulations on the excellent job done in fine tuning your therapy. |
