RE: Importing of data problem - DeepBreathing - 01-15-2016 Quote:Do you think, since I have an Autoset machine, I should take advantage of its "auto" capabilities? Yes, all things being equal an autoset will give you good treatment at a lower average pressure than a straight CPAP. This is especially true if your apnea is positional (ie if it gets worse when you lie on your back rather than your side). Quote:Or, since I've seemed to do OK at a constant 11, should I have them set it to operate in regular, non-auto, CPAP mode? See above. Now, it is sometimes the case that people revert to a constant pressure after having used the autoset, but most do better in auto mode on a limited range. The problem (as I described above) is that if the machine is set wide open it will have problems optimising the treatment. Also the wide pressure range can cause discomfort which will interfere with your sleep. Quote:(And a related question: would it still collect the full range of data if operating in CPAP mode?) Yes, it will collect full data in all modes. RE: Importing of data problem - DariaVader - 01-16-2016 is 4 comfortable? If mine is set at 4 I feel like I am suffocating..... My start range for an auto-titration (never had the titration study, went straight to APAP) was 6 and a year later I am starting at 8. For starters, use a higher pressure for the minimum, since your titrated CPAP pressure was 11, and you did not have any comfort issue with 11 --- 8 might be a great place to start. If it were me I would set it 8 to 15 with a fulltime EPR = 2 and then look at the data after a week. unless AHI goes up a lot, then I would re-evaluate sooner. And no, I do not see that the data has been imported since 1/14/16 according to my datalog. Do you think it's a problem with my Resmed card, or Sleepyhead? And it can all be read via SleepyHead on a Mac. It's easy to change the settings on the AutoSense 10, and SleepyHead will track them for you. I'm leaning towards it being something other than SleepyHead. What you could try, assuming you are using Windows, is download ResScan and see if that reads anymore data than SH. http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-ResScan-5-5-Software-Download-Link-for-ResMed-machines-only Take note of the Installation Warning on that page. If ResScan matches up with Sleepyhead, you'll know it will be either the card or the CPAP machine. Since SD cards are much cheaper, I would buy another card. Can be another 2gb card to save some money though I think 8gb cards are just as cheap. |
