My Airsense 10 Elite is whisper quiet. I noticed a slight noise with the Autoset For Her but reckon it may the worse fitting humidifier tub as it does not come out as smooth as for the Elite.
I have had rumbling noises when I have overfilled the humidifier tub on 2 occasions. I am more careful now in ensuring water stays below the max line.

The first one of these I got made a loud noise right away. Turns out some of these units were made with a defect and needed to be repaired. My replacement unit is whisper quiet. If you do some searching on youtube, you will find some of the abnormal noises these units will make. Listen and see if it matches what you are experiencing.
